Vehicle Detail

Upgraded 2007 scrambler I bought new in December 2007. I wanted to address the areas I thought could enhance this extremely fun bike. The seat was replaced with a Triumph 68 gel seat, and I added w some other basic Triumph dress ups; bug screen, cross bar brace and pad as well as a headlight screen and a 12 volt accessory port. The more substantial upgrades that truly enhanced the bikes performance are the British Customs solid intake manifolds, K&N cone filters , re-jetted carbs to compliment the incredible Thunderbike pipes. Thunderbike out of New Zealand really does their homework when tuning modern Triumphs. I have used their products on several new Triumphs. I did also install their optional baffles to not completely infuriate my wife. You can easily run the bike with and without the baffles. The pipes are designed to go either way. The tires are brand new Dunlop Trail Max with less than 100 miles on them. I installed them just prior to storing the bike for the winter. The batter is new, replaced in the spring of 2012. To protect the underside, I again went to Thurderbike to install their functional skid plate. Other plates exist, but this plate fully protects and supports the bike. Lastly, the most costly and most needed upgrade was a Beringer 6 piston front caliper assembly and rotor(1600.00.) Not only can you stop the bike with your index finger , installing the assembly shaved a few worthless pounds off of the front wheel. The bike has been garaged and serviced by my Triumph dealer. It gets an oil change every season. This is just a really nicely sorted out scrambler. I am a 55 year old guy so this bike has not been abused. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
