This pony was sold new on August 30th, 1968 at Holmes Tuttle Ford in Tucson, Arizona, has been in Arizona its entire life and is very solid. This is a three owner car with the previous owner having the car the last 21 years. This Mustang is loaded with factory options and subtle aftermarket options that enhance the appearance and drivability of this classic pony. In the last three years, the Mustang has been cosmetically restored and shows beautifully. The motor and transmission have been rebuilt. All of the suspension bushings were gone through, combined with the power disc brakes the Mustang is a blast to drive. This Mustang needs nothing and is ready to enjoy. It is in excellent condition and will surely make its new owner happy. Click to enlarge This Mustang is finished in Ford Caspian Blue and looks stunning with its GT side stripe and Cragar wheels. This pony spent its life in dry Arizona and is rust free with laser straight body panels. The car appears to retain its original floors. The car was painted about three years ago. The car was completely taken apart and properly painted. This was a high dollar paint job and it really shows. All of the panel gaps line up as they should. When the car was reassembled, all new weather stripping and rubber seals were installed. The windshield and rest of the glass are all in good condition. All of the chrome and bright work are in very good condition as well. The power convertible top is new and flawless. At the time of the paint job, a set of Cragar wheels were added. A brand new set of BFG white letter tires were just installed. Overall, the exterior of this Mustang is in excellent condition. The beautiful parchament interior was just redone and shows as new. The seats were completely rebuilt with new foam and had new seat covers installed. The carpet is brand new and in excellent condition. The dash appears to be original and is in very good condition. The door panels and kick panels are new and show no wear at all. The interior is completed with a wood steering wheel that feel great in your hands. The A/C system has been updated with a modern compressor along with being converted to R134 Freon and blows cold. A modern AM/FM radio with an iPod hook up was added and works as it should. All of the lights and gauges work as they should.. The windows operate as they should. The interior of this car is in superb condition and is a great place to spend the weekend cruising your favorite roads! Mechanically the car is as good as it looks. The original engine was swapped out for a 302 with a small performance build. The motor features an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock 750CFM carb, MSD ignition, custom cam, and dual exhaust system. The Mustang sounds great and has plenty of power to accelerate this car with ease. The cooling system has been upgraded with an aluminum radiator that keeps this pony running cool. The transmission was upgraded to a 4spd overdrive with and shifts smoothly through all of the gears. The suspension was gone through with all the bushing replaced and a "Monte Carlo" bar was added. This is a great running and driving car that never skips a beat. The power steering system has been gone through and is nice and tight with its rebuilt steering box. The power disc brakes feel great and the car stops with ease. This Mustang sails along at modern freeway speeds without breaking a sweat and does it comfortably. Overall, this car is mechanically sound and ready to be driven. The Mustang is an excellent weekend toy or daily driver.
