Vehicle Detail

1976 SUZUKI GT185 2 Stoke Street Bike I bought this bike for my wife to learn how to ride. I stripped the bike down to the frame and restored it for her. She rode it around the yard a couple of times and told me she wanted a trike. Now that she has a trike the bike is for sale. The bike is a perfect beginner’s bike or a commuter bike. It is low to the ground and very light. It has a hydraulic front brake and electric start which is a big help for a beginner. Some specs on the bike: 2 cylinder, 2 stoke, 185CC Air Cooled Engine Dual carbs and dual exhaust Front hydraulic disc brake rear drum brake Electric and kick start Oil injected (no need to mix gas and oil) 5 speed transmission with manual clutch During the restoration the following was completed: Both cylinders honed and new piston rings installed New points and condenser Carbs cleaned and air cleaner foam replaced New fork seals and dust caps New battery New wheel bearings and seals (Front and Rear) Frame, engine, tins, and wheels were blasted and painted. Gas tank was sealed with cream. It was not leaking but I did it anyways. Paint is presentable but not perfect. New X-ring chain Bike runs, drives, and stops good. It is currently inspected and on the road. Don’t let the small engine fool you this bike will do 65 MPH. I replaced the countershaft sprocket (1 tooth smaller) due to the hills we have here. The odometer reads around 10,600 miles but the bike is in great shape. It still has the original grips and seat cover. The tool kit is still on the bike. I have run synthetic 2 stroke oil in it since the rings were broke in. I run full synthetic oil in the transmission. The issues is a small pin hole in one of the exhaust pipes and the mechanical tachometer “bounces” a bit at higher rpms. Also some paint cracking on the side panels and some pitting on the fork tubes (see pics) I have a clean title (no liens) in my name for this bike. If you have questions or want to look at the bike it is best to call me at (585) 973-2645. If I don’t answer leave a message I will get back to you. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
