Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1953 Ford F-100 Pickup truck. Runs and drives as good or better than it did when it left the assembly plant. I drove this daily up until about a month ago when I bought a newer truck that was more practical to haul a 2 year old around in. This truck is powered by an excellent running original 292 Y-Block V8 with a Holley Carb, Chrome vave covers, chrome air cleaner and real ram horn exhaust manifolds. Transmission is a high performance Chevy Turbo 350 unit with a custom billet adapter to mate it to the 292 V8. Suspension consists of a 5" dropped front axle with all new kingpins and bushings up front, and a pair of heavy duty air shocks and modified leaf spring pack in the rear. Rear axle is the factory unit with taller highway gears installed. Truck cruises along smoothly and not over revving at 70mph. Rides very nice for a lowered straight axle truck. Brakes are factory 53 Ford with fresh linings and brand new master cylinder. Wheels are 15x4.5 Steelies with brand new 6.70-15 Firestone wide whitewalls. Interior is all factory with the addition of a ford deluxe heater and an AM FM Ipod control deck hidden in the glovebox. It even has hands free bluetooth. Paint is 10 year old Rustoleum black that shows a great look of age. Body is very straight with just a tiny spot of rust on the very bottom right corner of the drivers door. Interior floor, roof, and firewall is completely covered in Dynamat Xtreme. It makes the ride so much more quiet and enjoyable. Bed floor wood is in acceptable/usable shape, but is showing its age. Steering is all factory and tight. New tie rod ends and rod. Custom front bumper, and integrated hitch in the rear bumper. Trailer plug wiring installed as well....haul your vintage racecar! Happy Bidding! VIDEO: GALLERY OF HIGH RES IMAGES: Buyer to arrange and pay for all shipping costs. I SHIP WORLDWIDE!! On Jun-17-13 at 16:07:25 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE! Here are all the photos in full resolution. For some reason, the photobucket thumbs above are not working, sorry folks. The streaks you see in the paint were caused by my pressure washer, they come out with a good scrubbing. The old patina'd paint gets a bit chalky after months in the sun and when rubbed out real well, the streaks go away.
