1982 Suzuki RM 250 I have owned this bike for 9 years however it has not been ridden since I raced it at the Gatorback AHRMA National in 2/27/11. I have raced it a number of times in the AHRMA Ultima 250 post vintage class. This is a MX bike that has been raced and has never quit due to mechanical reasons. The reason this bike has been reliable is due to proper and consistent maintenance. After each race the bike was cleaned and thoroughly inspected for any signs of potential mechanical problems. Anything that did not look right was fixed or replaced. Nobody wants to drive three or more hours to a race only to find out their bike broke because of something that could have been taken care of at home. Although I do enjoy seeing it in my garage, I have given up racing and do not need the temptation. The bike starts easily and runs strong, no issues. I have pages of notes listing carb needle sizes, adjustments, parts illustrations, copy of original CYCLE WORLD magazine RM250 test. I believe the piston size is 71.50, good compression Zinc plated most bolts and hardware including axles DG pipe and silencer (pipe has small dent near front) Rear shock rebuilt 2/5/11 with fresh nitrogen charge 4/1/11 installed powder coated hubs and gold DID rims 2/1/11 installed rebuilt 43mm forks and triple clamps from 82 rm465 Spent over $3000 on NOS parts and ebay parts Also, original Suzuki race prep manual, repair manual, various carburetor jets and miscellaneous, one (1) NOS Suzuki stripe tank decal, two (2) side panel decals.
