I bought it at the end of a lease from a dealer in early 2009 with 34000 miles on the odometer. This has been my dream car and I take care of it as such. All maintenance is up to date all oil and fluid changes are done every 3000-5000 miles using Mobile 1 Synthetic 5w-30 as this car only needs an oil change every 5000 miles but sometimes I think it likes to be shown some extra attention. As you can see by the pictures the car is in good to great condition. It is the second generation of the GTO which came with a 400 horsepower 6.0 liter engine which rockets the car from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. And with the smooth shifting Tremec transmission it is a match made in heaven. The LS2 engine is a variant of the engines used in Camaro's and Corvettes and is one of the longest running engines in history. GM has finely tuned this engine over the years to make it the best engine around. Commonly these cars when taken care of can easily reach above 200,000 miles. Mechanically the car is in as good of condition as it was when it drove off the lot. When searching for this car I wanted my dream car which was a black exterior red interior and took with a manual transmission and either a 2005 or 2006 and it took a while to find as only 40,000 of these were ever produced and 70% came with automatic transmissions. Finally after a long drive I was able to get it. The ride to pick up this GTO was miserable in my Jeep but once I was in this car I could drive for hours with no discomfort. On road trips the rest reminder will come up on the LED display and I will not feel fatigued what so ever even after hours of driving. The interior of the car is a thing of beauty as I mentioned I think black and red blend so well together. It has 4 red leather bucket seats with the front two being fully powered and multi-way adjustable and lumbar support. There are no rips or tears of any kind in any of the leather, The doors have a two tone color to them with black vinyl and a large streak of red velvet which is a beautiful touch. The passenger side has a vanity mirror with 2 courtesy lights for any touch ups needed for the passenger as well as an overhead light with three settings. On/Off/On when the car turns off and turns off when the car is locked or 2 minutes goes by. The back bucket seats are not your typical sports car rear seats as I am 6'4" 240lbs and have no problem comfortably riding the back without having to have the person in front of me slide forward. The rear seats are almost as comfortable as the front but do not offer any power options. There are no stains or marks in any of the seats or floor mats as you can see from the pictures. The only noticeable wear is form the drivers feet over time on the drivers side floor mat. The dash has an Green LED which is soft on the eyes but very legible and dims when it gets dark and the lights come on. It displays current speed, current fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, how many miles until fill up, radio station and speaker volume as well as the total mileage of the car. It can be changed to metric with the press of a button. The steering wheel has a nice firm grip with leather and hand grips as well as an easy to use radio volume and station/cd selector. With the press of a button you can change songs or cd's all together or go from CD to radio and so forth. All this is connected to a very impressive Blaupunkt radio which not only has two door speakers but has 4 inch deep speakers in the back for extra base which makes listening to your favorite music sound the way it should. The dash also has analog guages with a tachometer that redlines at 6500rpm and a speedometer which goes to 200mph all matching the tasteful red interior. Also it has a temperature guage and a fuel gauge in analog display. The center console has first most a fantastic A/C which blows ice cold and at a high fan rate and also blows hot air without much warm up time either way. Within the first mile you will feel the cold or hot air so you won't be freezing your way to work or on a pleasure drive. The stereo right below is where you can interchange your cd's easily by selecting load or eject. It also has presets for 12 stations. The stereo also has an LED display in green to let you know the time and what CD or radio station your listing to. Right below that is a storage compartment large enough for a wallet or anything you want to keep out of site as it has a click open door. The center console consists of the Gear shifter with 6 speeds and reverse up and to the right so you will never have to worry about trying to put the car in reverse while shifting in to 6th. The power windows for both passenger and driver are located in he middle as well as the traction control button. The car comes equipped with 2 cup holders and a center console storage compartment/armrest with about 1/2 a cubic feet of space. This is also where the 12 volt 20 amp plug is located to hook up any devices you wish. Excellent for a phone charger to keep your phone out of site. This storage space is lit by its own courtesy light to make sure everything is easily visible. It also has a small cd rack for a few CD cases as well as a small coin holder. The exterior of the car is a thing of beauty everything from the ram air hood to the duel exhaust which puts off a fantastic sound. The paint is still as shiny as new and is kept waxed to keep any harm from coming to it. Sadly before I got it there are 3 chips in the hood from what looks like a pebble hitting it from the back of a big rig. This can be seen in the photos as well. There is also a dime size door ding on the passenger side rear quarter panel. Other than that the cars paint is flawless. The GTO I selected came with the 18 inch wheels which was one of the three options that came with the GTO the only option mine doesn't have is the smokers option. Each wheel is a chrome alloy wheel that adds to the cars beauty. Sadly my girl friend doesn't know how to parallel park and the passenger wheels have very shallow scuffs in them. This only happened within the last month as they are hardly able to be felt I believe they can be buffed out. The drivers side wheels are in flawless condition with no chips or road rash. This car will get you from point A to B for sure but if you chose much faster and much more comfortably. It is a luxury sports coupe and has all the bells and whistles to go along with it. It is a beautiful car from far away and even more beautiful up close. Emissions inspections were done within the last 2 months and past with flying colors. No lights have ever come on warning that anything may be wrong. I am selling this car due to medical reasons I am getting older and have only put 30,000 miles on the car in 5 years. I am 61 and now have Parkinson's disease and the last thing people need on the road is a person who gets sudden twitches with 400 horsepower. I hope this car will end up in a home that loves it as much as I do. I thank you for your time and interest Robert.
