Vehicle Detail

This bike is a true rarity-a rescued 1970's period AAMRR race bike. I purchased this bike around 2005 in New York City in as-last-raced condition. Several vintage racers I know told me they remembered it from the Bridgehampton track on Long Island. I have gotten the bike into streetable condition, and it runs and rides great. The engine is set up running stock 350cc barrels with mildly lightened/balanced pistons, new rings, and stock cam. The rockers have been mildly lightened. The head was ported and polished by someone who knew what they were doing in the 70's, and has racing valve springs on stock valves. Compression is bumped up by the use of an aluminum head gasket. The carbs have had the chokes removed, and are jetted for more flow. It is running uni filters. Exhaust is a CB400F header, leading to a reverse cone megaphone. There was some pitting damage done to the head by a failed piston, but it has been polished out and the engine runs fine. The engine has been mounted with oversized and shimmed mounting bolts in order the add the engine as a stressed member and increase chassis stiffness. Fork springs have been cut and pre-loaded to increase stiffness. Alloy rims have replaced the steel rims. The front disk has been drilled, and has a stainless brake line. Rear brake shoes have been slotted for more bite. Clutch and brake levers are period aftermarket lightweight alloy. Footpegs are from a CB400F for a more rearset position. Stickers are original Yoshimura, Ring-Free Oil, and Champion Spark Plug sponsor stickers as well as the now-defunct AAMRR (American Association of Motorcycle Road Racers) stickers. These stickers were put on in the 70's and have been there since. This is not a replica bike of what might have been. This is a true period piece and it belongs in the right hands. The bike is a blast to ride, is very fast compared to a stock 350, and light. I was planning on bringing it back to the track, but another vintage Honda racer has come my way and I've decided to sell. Questions welcome. I do not have a title for this bike. There has been no water damage or flood damage, ebay just makes you put in something for title. In most states that is not a problem for a bike this old. If you are in MA, I can supply the necessary documentation to go about getting a MA title. I am happy to assist in any way I can to help the buyer get this bike on the road, or to provide documentation for overseas shipping. International buyers welcome. I am familiar with international shipping and will assist in any way I can. Buyer must make shipping arrangements, and I can not crate.
