Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Estate Wagon with 102k three owner miles. Collector's Edition just like every other '96 Roadmaster built. Solid body and undercarriage despite living most of its life in the Midwest. Loaded up with power everything and everything works except the power antenna. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power and the 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 and G80 build codes) maximize traction to the pavement. Trailer preparation "tow package" equipped - car rated to pull 5000 but NEVER had a hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches.) Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Clean history - send me your email address and I'll send you the Carfax report. Runs and drives great - drive anywhere. NO RESERVE. Very rare - there were 112 no-wood dark cherry wagons built for 96, of which 37 had tan interior, of which 24 were the Limited package, and 12 of those had leather and posi. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Shifts perfectly. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very straight with no major dings. No significant rust but a couple bubbles showing low on right quarter - left (which normally rusts first due to drain blockage) is fine. Above average body. Paint: Paint is very nice and shiny. All original paint except right rear quarterpanel which was lightly scuffed backing out of the garage and professionally repainted some years ago, but has reacquired a few scratches. Other minor light scratches are present as consistent with age but still above average. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is nice with only a couple minor door dings. Front bumper bright trim has a few small dings. Rubber side trim is all present. Glass is good with one very small rock chip in the windshield. Professionally tinted recently. Undercarriage has some surface scale as seen in pics but all solid. Underhood sheet metal, tailgate sill and right front door jamb have some bubbles as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in great shape. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in nice shape with minor wear. Carpets are nice and clean with only minor stains, dash has no cracks, door panels are in good shape. Driver's seat has some wear as seen in pics; other seats are without rips or stains. Headliner is in great shape. Steering wheel is in nice shape. Minor carpet wear on driver's side as is common on these from having to mash the carpet when you set the parking brake. No smoke odors - non-smoker's car. Has all the factory floor mats. Nice interior overall; above average. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) All the power stuff works properly except the power antenna. The following all work: power windows, power locks, dual power seats with power recliners, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette/CD, power antenna, rear window release, rear wiper, keyless entry, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. Newer A/C compressor and dryer. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out beautifully. Steering is tight, suspension is tight and alignment is okay - pulls a little to the right. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 80% tread remaining on a matched set of Bridgestones. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Limited slip works properly and rear end is quiet. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - jump in and drive anywhere - nice driving car.
