Rare 1981 Volvo Bertone Coupe This was the last year of the 262c Bertone and only 912 were made in 81. Overall this is in Very Nice shape! It spent most of its life in Texas and Kansas, it has never seen a northeast winter so no rust underneath car! It has only 96000 original miles, The original 6 cyl engine was replaced at 42000 with a Volvo 2.1 Turbo engine with intercooler by original owner at Volvo dealer (I do not have any repair paperwork to verify, was informed by original owner and I believe it to be true). My Mechanic agreed it is low mileage engine. So the Engine only has 54000 miles on it. Overall it runs and drives great, the body is in very good condition and interior is nice. It is currently in very good daily driver condition. Electric Windows work fine, blower fan is perfect. It was driven very little for years, taken only for sunday drives and sat in garage. In 2012 it was taken to Volvo specialist to have tune up, hoses replaced, whatever was needed. For it to be mint below is needed-Radio does not work.Sun caused clear coat on 1 part of roof to peel. would recommend partial paint.Back seat seem separated on small part of seat at top middle. Cruise not working.Small area of rust spots starting on top trunk seam, see pic. Very minor.AC needs recharge.Dash has 2 cracks.Fuel pump has slight whine to it but is fully functional. I am 1 hour north of Boston. Can meet at Boston, Manchester NH or Portland ME airports. On May-10-13 at 17:56:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Correction- AC is working-ice cold.
