Vehicle Detail
This listing is for a 2002 Triumph Sprint ST 955i. It will be sold to the highest bidder, with NO RESERVE!!! The Story: I am selling this bike for my brother; he is a long-haul truck driver, and doesn't get enough use out of this bike to warrant keeping it. It does the bike no justice to be setting in the garage so much of its life with only the occasional ride. He is the second owner of the bike, having purchased it from the original owner just a year ago. Adult owned its whole life, never left to a kid, never abused. It has 22,682 easy miles. Always well maintained, and is in excellent condition. You will be hard pressed to find another cleaner 2002. This bike had a new rear tire last season, with well under 1,000 miles on it. It has no known problems. The plates were taken off of this bike last year, and it has not been registered this season. General information: This is a sport-touring motorcycle, very versatile to allow for several riding styles. I assume if you're looking at this ad, you know about Triumph motorcycles, and the benefit of them vs. their Asian counterparts. These bikes rely on a 955cc Triple cylinder engine, which is a great combination of Twin-like torque, with 4-cylinder-like smoothness. Not to mention, you won't be that guy who pulls up on a bike that everyone has seen before. Specific information: The Sprints got a re-vamp in 2002, giving them more horsepower (118bhp, 78 ft-lbs torque, top speed of 155, 1/4 mile of 11 seconds) This bike is very fast, yet comfortable enough to go for those Sunday cruises. Has a center stand for easy maintenance. Features: This bike has removable hard panniers (saddlebags,) as well as 2 separate seats. One for two-up riding, the other a solo. It currently has a Zero-Gravity windshield on it, and the original windshield is included. Flush-mount front turn signals, (originals included.) Current Valid New York State safety inspection. Extras: Many extras are included with this bike, such as a cover, the original windshield, the original front turn-signals, front fender extender, the original factory tool kit, and some other miscellaneous parts. See pictures for what is included. The Scorpion Exo helmet was bought to match this bike last year, and there has been debate as to whether or not it should go with the sale. If the bid reaches $3,700 (which I believe should be no problem given condition and all the extras) I will throw in the Helmet with the sale. This is a very powerful bike, and is not for beginners. I surely hope I don't see some kid with a learner's permit show up for this machine. I will add to the listing as I remember more information about the bike, but please ask any questions that you may have. I will do the best I can to answer them, and I can even put you in contact with my brother who has ridden this bike more than just around the block. Delivery is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will gladly assist in any way that I can. I can also trailer the bike to you (prepaid) very reasonably. (It'll be on an open 4x8 trailer, towed with a car that gets 30mpg, I can probably deliver it cheaper than you can drive your pickup.) The starting bid for this bike is very low, and it will surely find a new owner. You are welcome to set up an appointment to come check out the bike, or hire an inspector. Cash-in-hand will allow a test drive. Bike is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction early. All funds must clear before bike is to be released.
