This Land Rover is the best of both worlds. Classic Series 109 Looks with a Modern Defender 110 coil suspension, Drive train, Disk brakes and Modern Land Rover 3.9 Liter V8 Engine. This is a true North American Left hand drive Land Rover.The 1964 series 109 is a 3 owner Land Rover originally sold out of Georgia, like most Land Rovers over many years the frames rust out, so the old owner purchased a 1987 Canadian Military 110 with low miles and used the bulkhead and the whole chassis and drive train to replace the old 109s rusted out frame and drive train. I have owed a Defender and the frames tend to rust out heavily, this replacement 110 frame is the cleanest I have seen, there is zero rust. I have looked in all the places they usually get rust and its clean and rust free, this frame and drive line is good to go. Engine is 97 Land Rover 3.9 Liter V8 the block has 18,000 miles on it with reconditioned heads. Also has a 4HP-22 automatic transmission with 42,000 miles on it. This is a 95% complete Garage kept project. The body and paint are great condition, refinished in original 1964 limestone paint; the frame and undercarriage are super clean. Minimal rust inside minor areas in doors and lower front bulkhead, I have treated and painted most of the small minor areas. Gas tank has been drained and cleaned, new internal gas pump, filters and line. It may be something simple, I don’t know. My wife says it’s got to go. I can’t spend any more cash or time on it. I have had it a year and haven’t gotten to drive it yet. It’s time to pass it on. Thousands spent on this Land Rover, I have all receipts for new parts. I will send boxes of extra parts. This is a chance to own a super solid 110 or just make some good cash, with a little effort and money. There is approximately 5% left to finish the Land Rover, but this is all the detail stuff, all the major and hard stuff had been completed. Thanks for your time.
