Vehicle Detail
1966 Chevrolet Nova SS V-8 Super Sport from the Factory Non-Matching #’s 327 Yes it's a Real "SS" And it’s a real Red-on-Red car! Not looking for any trades so please don’t ask… What you are looking at is a very nice 1966 Nova SS or Chevy II SS. This is a cool little hot rod and one neat little shoe box. The car is sporting a small block V-8 327 300hp engine and 4-speed transmission with a 3.55:1 rear differential gear. This car does not have its original V-8 engine (Don't know if it was a 283 or 327 from the factory as that engine is gone). The car is now sporting a 4-speed transmission but originally equipped with a 2-speed power-glide automatic. The red interior is just gorgeous and with bucket seats and console really set it off. The front suspension has been converted to a tubular A-Arm and sports front disc brakes. All original front suspension parts are included with the car. This car was rebuilt and restored by a body shop in San Antonio Texas somewhere around 10 years ago. The car is painted with red lacquer which is starting to show its age a bit but is still very presentable. There is some slight checking on the deck lid and some small chips there as the car could use a new trunk weather strip (looks like it is installed on the body and not the deck lid). The fuel door is also losing a little of its paint. It looks really nice setting on the American Torque Thrust Wheels and the tires are in good condition as well. I have included a picture of the trim tag so you can see for yourself this is a real “SS” and not a made up one… Here is the trim tag decoded: 11C D (11-C=November 3rd Week, D=Red Body) STYL 66-11837 NOR36085 BODY (66=1966, 1=Chevrolet, 18=Chevy II Nova SS V-8, 37=2-Door Coupe, NOR=Norwood, OH) TRIM 756-B R-R PAINT (756-B=Red Buckets R-R=Red-Red exterior no two-tone) W 2M (W=Tinted Windshield, 2M=2-Speed Power-glide Trans) This car was purchased by an Albuquerque resident who had always dreamed of owning such a car. After some time of owning this car he found a numbers matching example, purchased it and here you go... This one is now available for sale. The car is tight and strong and presents very well. Runs smooth but the engine could use some freshening up. This car is drivable and showed as it is with just a little tweaking to make it your very own. Super Dry and RUST FREE! Overall the car is really nice And can be driven and shown as it is. 1. At the conclusion of the auction a $1000.00 deposit is due. This deposit is due within 3 Business days of auction closing.
