This Lexus Runs and Drives Good and looks OK inside and out.

The body is straight and solid and the paint looks decent.

This GS300 is being sold "AS IS" due to the high mileage and the expired VA State Inspection sticker. Any needed repairs will be the buyer's responsibility.

The engine starts fine and runs well with ample power and acceleration. This automatic transmission shifts good.

Highlights:

• The good news is this car runs and drives good and most every electronic feature/option works just fine. The A/C works great, the audio system works, the power seats work, the power sunroof works, the power mirrors work, the front power windows work, the lighted vanities work, etc. What doesn't work is the rear power windows, the left-rear door's power lock, and the power antenna. Other than those few minor items that don't work, this car is in very good condition as far as electronic features go.
• Mechanically, we think the car is good, but we have not done a thorough inspection to be sure. Based on the driving inspection and a visual inspection, the car seems to be good. It runs and drives good and there are no unusual leaks, noises or vibrations that would cause alarm. There is no exhaust smoke or oil burning smell while the engine is running. However, the VA State Inspection is expired (1/13) and we have not checked the car out for a re-inspection. The car will be sold to VA residents with a rejection sticker and will be sold to out-of-state residents with the expired inspection sticker. All repairs needed to pass state inspection are the buyer's responsibility.
• This Lexus has 263,050 miles showing on the odometer, but the car runs and drives remarkably well considering the mileage. The brakes have some pulsing when stopping (rotors?), but work fine. The engine runs smooth, but you feel a vibration when idling (possibly motor mounts). Other than that, the car seems to be mechanically good, but we have not checked it out any more than to drive it and give it a quick visual inspection, so be aware of that.
• This Lexus has a good and straight body with decent paint. There are multiple tiny paint chips and scratches around the car, but the only bad spot is a 2" long deep chip on the front of the hood.
• The glass looks good all around this car.
• The interior is in "fair to good" condition. Both front seats have cracks and rips in the leather. They have nylon seat covers on them. The rear seat has multiple creases and cracks in the leather (a dye job would do wonders). The top edge of the rear seat has a 1" diameter hole in it. All the seats are comfortable and supportive. The carpet looks good with only minor stains. The dash looks very good, as does the wood trim. The door panels are good (driver's has some vinyl peel...see pic below), the headliner looks good and the interior trim is in good condition too. So, except for the seats, thie interior looks very good.
• The alloy wheels look OK, but could use some cleaning or possibly repainting. The tires have about 20% tread remaining on the rear and about 40% tread remaining on the front.
• The driver's door has some bent trim at the top(see pic below), but it is only cosmetic and does not allow water to leak into the car, but does cause some wind noise.
• All in all this is a nice Lexus for the miles and it has a lot of potential. With a little detail work and some minor mechanical/electrical work it could be a great daily driver.
