Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a Honda CT 70 H K1 model. Production date: Aug 1971 If you are a collector then you're aware that this model is thought by many to be the most collectible CT 70 ever - even more sought after than the silver tag KO and first year H models. Only about 25% of the H models were K1's making it the rarest. Dan Matson, a master mechanic with over 36 years of experience, rebuilt the engine for me. Dan told me he replaced everything that showed even the slightest wear. Parts he replaced: Piston and rings (after honing), new valves and head completely refurbished, all new parts for the cam (chain, gears, ect), first and second gears along with the shifter drum along with one of the shifting forks, all new seals, gaskets and filter. Dan also rebuilt the carb with new OEM parts. The frame was European powder coated (twice) to bring out the candy color. The photos don't do justice and the video was done under difficult lighting by a friend. The color is an exact match to the Honda Candy Ruby Red of 1971. I went ahead and added the optional rear rack. All the "regular" new stuff I do is there, fenders, seat, handelbars, wiring harness, ignition, ect. I installed new swingarm bushings and wheel bearings, along with new seals and shoes. All new cables, levers, sprocket and chain. Of note, the exhaust and rear chrome tail light holder were just too good to replace. I even posted a photo of the underside of the motor before I installed the "bash plate" (last photo on the auction page). I could go on and on but you get the picture both figuratively and now with the video literally. There are no miles on this little bike. Here is the link to watch a cool little video on this completely restored motorcycle. It may take a moment to load but it will be well worth your time if you're considering bidding. http://animoto.com/play/aJw5zg95dXWpHQXyVNhltgI have sold motorcycles to foreign buyers and will do so again, but you must contact me before bidding so I can be assured you understand your responsibility to ship this little jewel overseas.
