To usher in the 1990's, Chevrolet started working on a special edition Corvette, rumors of what would actually make it to the public were rampant, and what finally arrived on showroom floors for the 1990 model year did not disappoint! With help from Lotus, Chevrolet developed a 5.7 liter, 32v Twin Cam V8, manufactured by, of all people, Mercury Marine, it produced a manufacturer rated 385hp. The performance did not end there with further updates to the suspension and braking system of the C4 Corvette. This performance earned it the common title of "King of the Hill". The ZR1 option package was a $27,016.00 option on top the base Corvette MSRP, even with that in mind, it was deemed an incredible performance value for the dollar!! Finished in its factory applied Bright Red paint, this 1990 Corvette ZR1 is a fantastic example of the once pinnacle of Corvette Performance. Having been well maintained and collector owned since new, it only shows 33,000 original miles. The interior is near flawless red leather, the seats showing little to no wear, the incredible LT5 engine starts and runs smoothly while producing a noise that makes no effort to hide its purpose. In addition to the great overall condition, this 2 owner ZR1 also comes with a folder of great documentation, including the "valet key" which can cut in half the power output of the LT5!!
