This is a solid 1959 Wagon and goes down the highway straight as an arrow. I guess the best way to describe this 1959 Wagon is to list the things that have been done to the car: - cleaned out radiator- overhauled 283 stock- electronic ignition- new spark plug wires- new starter- rebuilt 700r4 transmission - 4 wheel disc brakes- 4 new tires- all new rubber body mounts & rubber suspension bushings have been installed- paint is fairly new but nothing to brag about- new windshield with new rubber gasket- cleaned out gas tank- new battery and new battery cables- new exhaust including mufflers- posi traction rear end original The odometer reads 72,100 miles. There is bondo in this car which does not show in the photos, believe it was used to repair dings. All the windows are in good shape with no cracks. The electric rear window works and goes up and down properly. All electrical works including gas gauge and wipers. Even the red highbeam light comes on in dash. As you can see in the pictures, it has the front bumper guard, rear bumper steps and those chromevisors that go by the rear window. This car is just fine going down the interstate going 65 mph with low rpms. Car fires right up each and every time you start it. The floor boards are strong and solid. Spare tire compartment is strong and solid. In a couple of the pictures you can see the original headliner still intact. The rest of the interior is shot. a good reliable form of transportation.
