Vehicle Detail

I am selling this car for my mother-in-law. She no longer drives due to her age. She purchased this 2010 Toyota Corolla LE brand new from Atlanta Toyota. It has only 19,862 miles on it. Options are Cruise Control, Remote Keyless Entry, and Floor Mats. MSRP of $18,034. A picture of the window sticker is provided. Still smells new inside. The car has been in a very minor collision, a ‘fender bender’ with a 4x4 truck. The Corolla actually went under the bumper of the truck and the only damage was to the top front edge of the right front fender and some surface damage to the top of the hood. No damage to the front of car and none to the radiator area, etc. The car was professionally repaired and painted. They replaced the right front fender and repaired the hood. They did an excellent job with the repair and especially the paint. It looks perfectly matched. There are a few other minor cosmetic issues with the car and I have taken pictures of all of them:1) 3 of the 4 wheel covers have scratches on them from curb rash.2) The very bottom of the front lip of bumper cover has a 2-3” split on the front/bottom side in the center3) There is a scratch in the paint on the back right quarter panel about 12” in length. It is a light scratch and did not get down to the metal.4) There is a ‘nail-head’ sized ding about an inch above the driver’s door handle The rest of the car and all of the interior is in great shape. We have had no problems with it whatsoever. The tires are still the original tires and they have plenty of tread left on them but Toyota used super hard tires on this car and they are very NOISY. I guess it got them a few more MPG by using such hard tires. I would swap them out for something quieter. There is factory warranty still remaining. The car was purchased on February 12, 2011 and the remainder of the 3year/36 month bumper to bumper warranty is still active as well as the 5year/60 month powertrain warranty and the 5 year corrosion warranty. All of these should be transferable to the new owner but I’m not 100% sure of that – you may want to research this with Toyota.com before bidding if you are concerned about the warranties. I have all the books that came with the car and both keys. I really don’t want to ship the car so local pick-up only please. I can meet you at the Atlanta airport to deliver the car if needed. We need a $500 deposit from the winning bidder within 24 hours of the end of the auction. PayPal can be used for the deposit. The balance due will need to be paid in cash only when the car is picked up. The title is clear and in hand. Carmax offered us $8200 for the car but I would rather sell to a private buyer and pass the savings on to you. So the bidding starts at $8000 with no reserve. Please email me with any questions. On Apr-16-13 at 19:13:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I am selling this car for my mother-in-law. She no longer drives due to her age. If you are not familiar with Carmax, they offer to buy any car for a no hassle wholesale or trade-in price. Then they turn around and re-sell the car on their lot for a retail price. They are not an appraisal service like Kelley Blue Book. Just for reference the blue book value from www.kbb.com on this car, for a private party sale is $12,900. This car rated out as a 'GOOD' condition vehicle - after listing the previous body work, scratch in paint and scratches in wheel covers into their quiz. Please bid what you feel is a fair price for this car. This is a no reserve auction and will be sold to the highest bidder.
