Rare Chevrolet SS Camaro loaded one owner, low mileage, original 2001 with all numbers matching, correct Exterior Color and Original Leather Interior all in perfect condition This car belonged to a friend of mine here in Vidalia, he used to live in Port ST Lucie FL before he moved to Vidalia. My Friend purchased this car new from Bill Shultz Chevrolet in Fort Pierce Fl in July of 2001 and has owned it ever since. I have all of the paper work on the car and as you can see in the pictures, the car had 10 miles on it when my friend bought it. The car has been garage kept its entire life and has only 30,000 actual miles on it, He has driven it on the average, less than 3000 miles, a year. I personally helped did some upgrades on the car 2 years ago. We installed a comp cam, SLP cold air system and 3:73 rear gears. The car was dynode and re-chipped and the engine now produces 405 hp to the rear wheel. The car runs strong but the cam is mild enough to sound nice and drive on the street with no problems. The body is perfect and has never had any repairs other than a small hit to the right front fender when the car was less than 1 year old. A woman ran a traffic light and clipped the car in the front end; the front right fender was replaced and repainted by the local GM dealer in FL. Also, there are a few small raised areas in the composite ban that runs between the top and the rear glass; it is my understanding that all of these cars have these small raised areas on the composite trim part. The paint had some light hazing in the clear coat, so we had the entire car professionally repainted with a PPG base/clear system back to its original color of Sunset Orange Metallic. All surfaces including all jambs, accent stripes and under the hood and under the trunk were repainted and refinished. The black accent stripes and black trim area on the hood, grill area and rear trunk panel were based in and clear coated with PPG clear, putting the striping and black paint areas under the clear coat, where they cannot be felt to the touch. The car was then wet sanded and buffed out to perfection, there is no orange-peel or imperfections in the paint what-so-ever. During the repaint, we replaced the original GM SS wheels with a new set of GM, SS wheels due to pitting in the chrome on the original wheels. The owner has the original wheels and they go with the car. When we replaced the wheels we put a new set of Z rated tires and they have less than 3000 miles on them. The last time the car was driven for a long distance was on the 2011 Power Tour last fall. The interior is absolutely perfect and is leather with all the extra features that were available in 2001. Other than the paint and the accent strip on the hood, the car is 100% original and just as it came from the factory. The Car is absolutely gorgeous and perfect, the photos do not do this car justice. If you are interested in buying this car you must come see it.
