Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1947 Packard Custom Super Clipper model 2106 touring sedan. This was Packard's top of the line model in 1947 and is the last Packard accepted as a Full Classic by the Classic Car Club of America. This car has been in dead storage since 1988 and has just been awakened. It sold recently to an very nice e-Bayer overseas who had not planned for significant import duties, and I have agreed to re-sell it for him. It has a very smooth quiet running 356 with no smoke or noises, three speed transmission plus overdrive, and disconnected Electromatic Clutch. I have done no more than change fluids and get the car running. It has not been road tested and will certainly need and deserve a complete servicing and much brake work before road use. It is not a hop in and drive home car unless you are an adventuresome mechanic good with brakes! It is running on an electric fuel pump. The odometer shows 19,000 miles, I would assume it is 119,000. It has an older repaint in the original black and despite looking nice from 20 or 25 feet away needs repainting. The seats and door panels have been redone nicely with original materials and in the correct patterns and with all of the original trim, it could use a good cleaning. Original mosstred carpets are worn but there, headliner is original and has a small tear over the rear seat. Overall, I think this will make a great touring Packard after a complete servicing and some attention to the wiring which appears to have had some amateur fooling around! Clear California title in my name. No body rust evident except that apparently water was allowed to gather in the back of the trunk and it has rust through which will require repair, however the spare tire well is solid, as are all floors. Interesting vintage fire extinguisher under the hood! Please call Chris for more information at (530) 400-0540. Car is located In Nevada City, CA, has a valid current California title in my name, I am happy to cooperate with overseas shipment. ( Had a quote for one gentleman of $3250 for container shipment SF to Gothenburg, Sweden)
