Up for sale is my 1991 BMW 318is. This is the sought out E30 model. I bought the car months ago from a fellow enthusiast. With a baby on the way, I'm forced to sell for a larger family car. I drove the car almost every day for the last few months. This is the extremely rare non-sunroof model, 'slicktop' as they call it. There aren't many left on the roads, as it took me a long time to find this particular example. The body is straight, the car has never been in an accident. The paint is glossy and vibrant, excellent condition for it's age. The paint has some very tiny chips here and there, there's a small spot by the right rear window where the clear coat peeled a bit. There is nearly no rust on the car. The undercarriage is clean/rust-free, and the frame is spotless. The dent on the drivers door has surface rust, the drivers front fender has surface rust at the bottom, and there's some at the bottom valence area. Overall, very clean. Interior is overall clean, seats are in flawless condition apart from the drivers seat, which has a few tears. Carpet could use a some more cleaning, apart from that, overall wonderful. Has premium audio speakers and a 6CD changer in the trunk, headunit is missing. The current engine has about 130k on it, the old engine was taken out and replaced by previous owner at a BMW shop. Motor pulls strong at all RPMs. Some of the parts I replaced are new OEM belts, new water pump (metal impeller), newer original alternator, new original intake boot, new clutch fan, and a new battery. Lower vacuum hoses are cracked need to be replaced, the air leak causes the idle to be rough until the engine warms up. Transmission rows through all the gears wonderfully, 5th gear synchro grinds sometimes on entry. Sometimes there's a bearing noise from the rear at low speeds. Everything works, from the A/C (blows cold), turn signals, wipers, wiper jets, headlights, highbeams, taillights, power mirrors, power windows, power locks. Uses two keys, one for drivers door and trunk, one for passengers door and ignition. Wheels are rare MHW OZ BBS reps, with original BBS center caps. Tires are brand new Kuhmo Ecsta ATS 205/50/15. The gold color is Plasti-Dip and can be peeled off, as is the blackened license plate area and the grilles. No power steering, a mint refurbished steering rack and new pump belt is included if you'd like power steering. Perfect car for anyone with a bit of time to really turn it into a real show car.
