I am the 3rd owner of this Spitfire convertible. I has been well cared for and kept in a covered non smoking building. The previous owners were very meticulous about taking care of this car and sent many books, manuals and extra parts.They sent boxes of labeled with parts, what they are for and if and when they were changed. There is even a brand new carpet kit. I believe there is a new tonneau cover. I am not sure, I will dig out all of the boxes and list all of the contents in the next day. Someone is going to get an incredible deal. NO RESERVE My starting price is less than half of what I paid for it. I am just looking for a good home for this car where it will be taken care of. I have had this car almost 7 years and have not put 1,000 miles on it. I only take it out for short spins on days that are not to hot or looks like rain. It has minor dings in the paint as any car this age would have but nothing more than that. One snap on the soft top should be replaced, but it still works. I like the look of the hard top on or the top off. I do not have the space for this in my garage. My teenage son is just getting his license and HE IS NOT DRIVING this car. I bought this car because it looks great but I must say I am not a car buff but will try to answer any questions you may have. All of the gauges and lights work. The heater and wipers and -original radio work. I believe everything is original, I did purchase a new battery for it, but otherwise I have not done anything to it. This car is a conversation starter wherever it goes. On Apr-12-13 at 19:07:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had questions on the paint. I am adding photos of close ups. There are a few minor flaws from wear over the years. There are a few scratches in the chrome where the top attaches -on the front right. It shows in one of the photos. Also a few scratches on the back right where the hard top attaches. I consider that normal wear. It should show in a photo. Nothing is major but I want to be upfront with the description. Also the rubber around the doors isn't 100% -considering it is 36 years old. The previous owners kept records that I will dig out this weekend. I haven't driven it much so I really haven't done anything to it. It has been kept covered inside. I have only driven around town - the previous owner did drive it on the freeway/highway. I have not. It drives for me the same as it did when I got it. Yes the speedometer works - I don't see any rust. When you start driving it after is sits all winter in the garage, gas leaks from somewhere - but once it warms up and you drive it around it stops. Then no more issues. It is a good car and I hope I have answered everyones questions.
