Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1981 Plymouth Caravelle Station Wagon. This car was made for sale in Canada and was owned by a Canadian family who wintered here in Arizona. The car was left here most of the time so they had transportation when they arrived for the winter. The speedometer is calibrated in Kilometers. It shows 58,000 Kilometers (Approx. 36,000 miles). According to the previous owner and the title that is the actual mileage but I have no way to verify so I'm not making any guarantees as to the correct mileage. The overall condition suggest it's possiblbly correct miles. It wouldn't let me type in the correct VIN # in the heading so here it is: 1P3BM49M0BG137413. The car runs and drives excellent. A/C blows very cold and heat blows hot. Feels tight going down the road and the brakes aere good. All power windows work as does the radio although I haven't tried the cassette player. All lights work. The only mechanical issues I'm aware of are the speedometer needle jumps around during cold weather. After it gets warm it works steady. Also the passenger side windshield wiper doesn't work. The drivers side does so there is some kind of linkage problem. The tailgate shocks need to be replaced as they won't hold up the gate.It is equiped with the "Lean Burn System" which is working as it should. The car passed Arizona"s emmision test in January so a local buyer will not have to smog check it untill January of 2014. The body is in pretty good shape. The wood grain is faded on the left side and tailgate but looks good on the passenger side. The drivers side front door has some damage but the rest of the car is straight. There is a dime size rust hole in the drivers side front fender that is pictured. That is the only rust. The paint appears to be mostly original and still has a shine to it.The tires have good tread and are mounted on a set of Chrysler "Road Wheels" The interior is clean. The front seats have a few tears and the headliner sags in spots. The carpet is good, the door panels are nice as is the plastic rear cargo area plastic side panels. I have been driving this car daily and have a good Arizona title in my name ready to transfer to the new owner. In person inspections are welcome. Please contact me through the auction to set up a time. Shipping is the buyers responsability but I will be happy to assist on this end. Bidders with a feedback rating less than ten please contact me prior to bidding or I will have to cancell your bid.
