Vehicle Detail

Up for your bidding pleasure is, 1928 Studebaker Erskine.Named after the president Albert Russel Erskine, these cars featured the new six cylinder engine which made history of traveling 1,000 miles in 1,000 minutes. No other stock car in its price class has ever equaled this record in its day. My uncle purchased this model 51F, from a farmer in 1983 and began a frame on restoration. I remember the only rust was on the bottom of the cowl, and there will be the only filler I know of. He was a Studebaker metal finish inspector, and had an eye for perfection. The title shows 5,000 miles and is clear. So the odometer shows 5662. Although not run since stored in my showroom, it did back in there 5 years ago. Not every thing is perfect, original keys don't lock door or work ignition lock, but you can fix that, advance lever glued on and I'd bet it would break off again. Want me to lie to you? Tires are new, brakes suck, as they are mechanical, smokes, like they all did, has some rash to it, and if you were 85 years old you might expect that. BUT, drive this car! Add to your collection or start one. The Studebaker Erskine overalls don't come with it, and neither does the Stone Wheel, but might sell another time. Hey, nice going back in time, ain't it?
