Up for auction is a BEAUTIFUL 1980 Pontiac Firebird WS6 Trans AM Smokey & Bandit Edition Black and Gold t-tops recently restored. We are a car dealership ( AutoDrive Inc.) in Fort Dodge Iowa, and I aquired this Trans Am for a local gentleman who had it restrored about 5 years ago. This car is in excellent condition. It was completely restored about 3-4 years ago. I have all the documentation, receipts, notes, and over 50 pictures of the restoration process. I have a car cover for the car. Also included in the sale are about 10-12 magazines reviewing Trans Am history. I also have the Original Build sheet for the car. It has been laminated for safe keeping. Please call me and I can email you a copy. I have been unable to scan and load a picture or copy of it here on ebay. This car is just beautiful! It has been fully restored. The black and gold body is in excellent condition. There are no dings, no dents, no scratches on it. This car is factory black with gold. It has complete body and paint work in PPG High gloss black base/ clear coat with Phoenix graphics Gold special edition stripe and decal kit. The interior is black leather. The seats have all new upholstery re-covered with heavy black leather material. They are in excellent condition also. This car has also had a new black carpet kit. This car recieved a complete restoration 3-4 years ago with less than 5,500 miles since. It has over $26,000.00 in restoration costs. The car has only been driven in the rain once since restored. The motor is a fresh 1969 Pontiac 400 cubic inch factory 350 hp engine with automatic transmission. It has the Lunati Voodoo cam .490 lift, Edelbrock performer aluminum intake, WFO performance ram-air air cleaner, HEI Electronic ignition, Quadra-jet carb, new water pump, alternator and power steering pump. New Dyno-max ceramic coated headers coupled to new exhaust with flowmaster mufflers and new T/A dual chrome tips. New 4 core radiator and a fresh Turbo 400 auto transmission. The tires and wheels are restored 15x8" WS6 snowflake wheels and new center caps with Firestone Firehawk P255-60-15 Indy 500 tires. The Chassis has all new front end parts, tie rods, steering arm, ball joints, springs, shocks, disc brake calipers, brake lines, master cylinder, a-arm bushings, etc. It also has new PST polygraphite front end and body bushings. 10 bolt Posi-trac rear end has been gone through, new bushings/seals installed. New springs, new u-joints, new rear disc brake calipers, and all new fuel and brake lines. The body has new rear quaters, rockers, and rear taillight panel. It also has a new complete Metro supersoft rubber molding kit. A NOS power antenna, new hood, hinges, and springs, new front spoiler, and NOS grilles, new windshield and door handles. The interior has a new JUST DASHES dash restoration ($700.00) with all new gold special edition style dash bezel, door birds, shifter knob, and horn button. It has a new console, console lid, and shifter plate, new package tray, kick panels, doors panels, and headliner. It also has a factory electronic ETR AM/FM cassette stereo with 2 new speakers in the dash and 2 new JL 6x9's in the package tray. The truck has the orginal truck mat, a space saver spare with jack and air canister, and orginal T-top covers. The car was a factory air conditioned car, but when the motor was rebuilt/replaced the components were not all re-installed. I have personally driven the car. It runs and drives just as it should. The only issue I can find is the Brake light on the dash will come on and off occasionally. I guarantee this description to be accurate! Should you get here and feel this car to be anything LESS than described, I will happily refund your deposit and pay your fuel costs home.
