Vehicle Detail
up for sale is a 1968 porsche 912 with a 1968 aluminum case 2.0l out of a 1968 911L. this case was a factory case that porsche sold to builders and as such does not have a serial # on it. you can google that if you'd like which is what i did. car has the original 912 5 speed transmission. floors were redone at some point in the past using non-original panels. as you can see from the pics it has 911S badges on it. an original 1968 state of florida license plate is included with car if buyer is local and wants to register the car with that plate. the interior is almost as new. the top is in great condition. all glass is original. all five of the chrome 15x5.5 steelies are all dated 10/67. this car sat in a garage for at least 15 years before i brought it back to life. i've done countless things to it. have many receipts. all new plug wires, cap, rotor, plugs, valve adjustment, new oil filter, fuel filter, brakes all new (master cylinder, ss lines, rebuilt calipers), rebuilt the webers, etc etc. it starts up great and idles smoothly. new owner will have to adjust and tune the carbs as i've never had much luck at it. the bad: like stated above, the carbs really need to be tuned. the brakes need to be properly bled. i just don't have the time to finish. there is a very small rust hole along the rear window - see pic. many years ago there was some bondo work and it is coming apart, not bad but still want to disclose - see pics. couple small dents on hood from storage - see pics front bumper has a small dent - see pic both side mirrors are broken and were not originals anyway (included). driver door window regulator needs to be replaced. the window does go up and down with some help but it skips teeth. i'm pretty sure all lights etc work but you may have to sort out one or two things. otherwise, this is a very nice 912 converted to 911 that with a little work can be on the road and bringing smiles to its new owner. Car is sold as-is where-is with no waranties expressed or implied. $1000 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end and balance due within 7 days of auction end. please get your wife's permission and check your bank account BEFORE bidding.
