1956 Chevrolet Bel Air for Sale You are looking at a 1956 2 door Bel Air. I have the title. I presently have over $86,000 invested in it. Some of the details are listed below. The body is in excellent condition. There are some very small pin holes in floorboard but you need a light underneath the car to make them visible. To my knowledge, there is no plastic in the body. Original color was brown. The rear fender wells have been tubbed. The front Crager wheels are too deep and will need to be exchanged or replaced. The wheel won’t turn because of it. I stockpiled everything I would need to assemble this car. There is very little you find missing. I do not have glass (other than a few of the original windows that you will want to replace) or interior. I do have the original door panels and arm rests. The body parts (doors, trunk, hood, fenders) are hanging loose on the car. The firewall is awesome and custom built by one of the Northwest’s best welders. Steering linkage is in place. It has a 502 Ram Jet EFI that has never been fired. All aluminum has been polished. After polishing I managed to put 2 small nicks in the top of the air tunnel. It sits on an Art Morrison frame and has IRS and inboard Wildwood disc brakes (http://www.artmorrison.com/55-57chev.php link .). All chrome and stainless is either brand new or has been refinished. The bumpers are awesome. All stainless has been polished. Painting of some items such as the window frames, cowl, and parts of the motor has been done. The color scheme chosen was Sage with White Gold Crystal Pearl. Small labeled samples of paint will accompany the sale. The heating/air conditioner unit (Vintage Air) and brake booster have been installed under the dash. The 2 tanks and air compressor for the air ride suspension have been installed in the trunk. There is a custom built stainless steel fuel tank that will need to be re-polished since it had to be re-sized after it was built the first time.
