2001 Volkswagen New Beetle GLS - Needs minor work, NO Reserve 131k miles on the car, about 90k miles on the engine which was replaced with a good used unit along with a brand new radiator and many other parts about 8 months ago. It has an Automatic Transmission, Power Locks, Power Windows, Remote Key, Factory Alarm, Sunroof, Spoiler, very good Michelin tires on factory alloy wheels. Clear Florida Title. This Beetle is a great daily driver and it runs and drives very well, it has ice cold Air Conditioning, a quiet engine and smooth shifting transmission. Its economical and fun to drive. This car has been repainted previously & there's normal wear and tear on the interior as expected on a 12 year old car and there's a few dings, minor scrapes and scuffs in the paint but no major damage is apparent. There's a few issues we know about. 1st the check engine light will randomly come on (sometimes it stays off for many hundreds of miles and then just comes on whilst driving) and the code shows as an emissions issue, it possibly needs a new O2 sensor or catalytic converter. It never stops running perfectly when this happens but it will need checking out if you have inspections where you live. 2nd the electric door locks stick sometimes, it's easy to ignore, just press the remote and lock/unlock again and it opens or locks, and 3rd the heated rear window does not heat up.
