"Special ORDER TRUCK" 1979 FORD LARIAT 4X4 SHORT BED (91,000 MILES ORIGINAL) Up for sale is a very well kept 1 owner 1979 Lariat 4x4 Short-bed. This truck has a very strong 351 Midland V8 Motor, with a 400 Transmission. This truck has 0 rust, and allways been in Southern CA. in a garage. It was never off road and never seen snow! I recently moved in AZ. this truck never left the state of Ca. in till now. Truck still sports its CA. blue license plates from 1979. Bone stock with original smog device still in place. It has had a 2 stage mirror like paint job (original color combo blue on blue) on a super lazar straight body in 2005. Interior is very nice and clean. Dash pad has a few cracks but not trashed, A/C blows cool may need a charge. It has every option offered in 1979 including cruise control, A/C, and tilt wheel. It was ordered by him in 1978. He added a cd player to listen to his classic old country songs. This was my neighbors pride and joy in till he recently passed away last January. I use to pass by his house and ask him when are you going to sell it to me George, his reply was "I will let you know", with a smirk. I got a call telling me the bad news. I hate to sell it but need the money. It recently has had $12,000 worth of works did. I drove this truck 1000 miles and it did not skip a beat.
