Vehicle Detail
1967 Mustang Drag Car for sale. This car is a Drag car project that is about 90% done and a whole lot of money spent on it to get it where its at. I've never taken down the drag stip or even out of my garage since working on it. Chassis: 2x3 rectangle tubing frame from rear bumper to front suspension. 12 point cage ties in nice from front to back of car. crossmember for trans is tubular. drive shaft loop is also tubular and ties into the 2x3 and the ladder bar suspension. suspension: ladder bar rear suspension with heims. all new, and nothing home built or rigged. coil over shocks. narrowed 9" rear axle, 31 spline, spool. front suspension has the foxbody coilover shocks, mustang lower control arms. wheels/tires: 15x4 and 15x14 weld racing wheels, 32x14.50 slicks motor: 460 BBF, .030, truck rods football headed rod bolts, comp cam, aftermarket front sump pan, hi volume oil pump, double roller timing chain, edelbrock intake, custom made headers, exhaust manifolds also, HEI distributor. trans: C-6, new pump, and fluid. hurst quarter stick shifter Fuel system: aluminum race fuel cell, mallory fuel pump, steel braided fuel line Brakes: All wilwood brakes front and rear, front vented rotors, 4 piston calipers, and good pads, rear is disk rotors with hats and mounting hardware. wilwood master cyclinder. $1200 worth of brakes all new. All battery cables ran with all new good 1 and 2 guage ends put on. solid motor mounts and poly rubber trans mount.all hardware on car is either grade 8 or grade 5 new bolts. I did start motor and run it just for about 20 sec. i did that for a few times. it sounds real good. i haven't broke anything in yet. and buyer can hear it run if they want. The cage was installed when i bought car and it is done very very nicely. good welds. i bought the car as a roller and I mostly finished it up to race. like i said its about 90% done. i have other projects and to many kids and more on the way. so thats why i'm selling the car. there is a short video i put on youtube so that interested buyers can see and hear it run. here's the link click on it or highlight it and paste it in your browser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol-K9AJ6lOo www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol-K9AJ6lOo Things the car needs finished is the radiator, water neck, hooking up the gauges. i have the gauges in the dash oil, temp, volts, and 5 inch tach. just not hooked up. brakes put on. which i have all the brakes for it. seat bolted down. The plug wires in the pictures are for a different motor. i ordered the wrong ones from jegs. they work but not the ideal boot angle. so i will get the right ones before the buyer picks car up. THE ONLY THING THAT DOES NOT GO WITH CAR IS THE BATTERY AND THE CARB, if someone is super interested in having the carb we can talk price on top of the auction price. its a Holley hp and was $750.00 carb. This is a project and is not finished. it could be a prostreet car if you wanted it to be. i have a clean and clear car title for it. it would need the headlight and taillights hookup. but everything is there. i have spare doors, grille, trunk hinges that go with it.On Mar-17-13 at 05:52:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Any Questions call/text 785-317-1249 On Mar-17-13 at 13:56:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that it has a new starter and flexplate and bolts. i am sure i am forgetting more stuff but when i remember i will post more info On Mar-17-13 at 16:26:56 PDT, seller added the following information: people have been askin me about rust on the car and the overall body condition. overall condition is pretty fair. there is filler in areas on the car but overall pretty solid and straight. the rear bumper i also have. its bent but it has all the brackets so if you buy a new bumper(which are cheap like 125.00) then you could bolt it on. floors and trunk are real solid. some rust behind headlight buckets. you don't see it but i'm just letting everyone know the condition of this car. No interior other than seat and aluminum dash. Also has quick release steering wheel This could be a slick race car or a saturday night sonic specail!!!
