Vehicle Detail

This is my 1984 Honda Goldwing 1200 Interstate. This bike has been my daily-ride since I acquired it in 2009. I've used it for commuting purposes. Lately, my job changed, and I no longer have the required commute to Orange County, thus I am selling the bike. It's up for absolute auction. No reserve, no monkey-business! The top bid gets a great Goldwing! You can see that I didn't see the sale of the bike coming so quickly. In December 2012, I renewed the license plates for 5-years. It expires 12/2017. Haha!! The bike has been properly and meticulously maintained. It's been used for commuting and for travels to Ensenada, Mexico. Always without trouble, and it's never left me on the side of the road. The front-suspension was re-done by Race-Tech of Corona, CA. It was fitted with springs for a 200# rider. Tires are Dunlop Elite-3, proper for the weight of the motorcycle and rider/passenger. The windshield is a SlipStreamer, and is scratch-free. It's always been cleaned with Plexus and a soft rag. Never cleaned with a paper towel or gas-station squeegee. The bike is 100.0% leak-free. You may park it over the cleanest surfaces, and won't see a drop of anything. It does not burn any oil. It does not use any oil between 3,000-mile oil changes. The 1984 Honda Goldwing safety-recall for the ignition switch was performed by Honda in 2009. The pesky stator-connector was removed, and the wiring re-done with a proper solder and shrink-tubing job. The charging output is tested, and tests 14.0V at 3,000 RPM. The troublesome “dog-bone” fuse from the 1980s was replaced with a contemporary automotive-style 30A blade fuse. I cannot recall the age of the battery, but it is not causing any troubles, nor do I have any reason to expect any. The standard H4 headlamp is upgraded to a Sylvania SilverStar and is much brighter and whiter than the normal headlamp. If you're looking for a reliable touring or commuting motorcycle, this is a worthy candidate for you. Ask questions early, and bid with confidence. If you're interested in a Fly-N-Buy type arrangement, this is a good motorcycle for that job, no matter where in North America you're riding it back to. The closest airport is San Diego, and I will work with your schedule to pick you up at the airport and send you on your way!
