It is Spring, and this classic beauty at the age of 44 needs a new partner. Looking over Karmanns for sale, I was struck by the number of sellers intent upon disclosing their own age to be in the seventies. I spare you, but it speaks to the enduring appeal of the car. So, there are three things that need recognition in the price. First, the paint is showing problems in three areas: the lower edge of the engine cover, and the left and right anterior rocker panels, both photographed. Second, there was an occasion when I could not release the bonnet and had to remove the glove box: a new one is needed. Finally, the last time I drove in the rain, the passenger wiper gradually became less and less operative. The motor works. The linkage is intact. My suspicion is upon the bushing on that side. Since I acquired the car, there have been two major service events. The original wiring has been largely replaced by fresh stuff that just works, and the Master cylinder, rotors, and lines were put right about a year ago. The battery is 14 months old. I am happy to take any questions or show the car in person. The usual caviat applies that the car is offered for sale elsewhere and the auction may be ended for that reason.
