Up for bid is a 1995 Chevy Caprice wagon with just 98k two owner miles. Lifelong SW Florida car - zero body rust and a spotless undercarriage. Loaded up with power everything and every option works, including factory CD. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power and the 2.93 open rear end (GW9 & V92 build codes) maximize traction to the pavement. Trailer preparation "tow package" equipped - car rated to pull 5000 lbs but never had a hitch installed (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches.) Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully as expected of low miles. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Shifts perfectly. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very straight and totally solid. No body rust. The only complaints are two small dings - one on the tailgate under the license plate, and one very low on driver's door as seen in pics. No collision damage ever. Way above average body. Paint: Paint is very nice and shiny and ALL ORIGINAL PAINT. The only complaint is a small chip on the front bumper. Exceptionally nice for any age; remarkable for 17 years old. Also above average. Wood: Upper fake wood trim is original, not painted, and incredibly nice where normally the laminate peels off by now - there are a couple small peel spots, but overall excellent condition is the best testament to "garage kept" anyone could give. Wood applique siding is very, very nice with a couple small nicks on the right rear quarter from the car in the garage next to it. No fading or peeling - still shiny and nice - some minor lifting around the seams near the rear license plate frame. Other: Beltline trim fake plastic "chrome" is mostly perfect - minor discoloration on right side pieces if you look closely. Plastic bumpers are in great shape with on minor nick on the left rear corner. Glass is all perfect - no chips or cracks. Undercarriage is just beautiful - no rust, surface or otherwise. Underhood sheet metal, tailgate sill and door jambs have no rust. Spoked hubcaps are in nice shape with no curb rash. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in great shape as expected of lower miles. Carpets are nice and clean without major wear (minor wear near left foot from setting parking brake as is common on these cars,) dash has no cracks, door panels are in great shape. Seats are all nice - even the driver's seat - without rips or stains. Headliner is in great shape. Steering wheel is in nice shape with minor dye wear consistent with low miles. No smoke odors - non-smoker's car. Nice interior overall; above average. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) Except for the power antenna, which is gratefully in the up position, all other power stuff works properly including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo/aftermarket CD, rear window release, rear wiper, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out great! Steering is tight, suspension is tight and alignment is good. Brakes work well - good linings, no vibration. Tires have about 70% tread remaining on a matched set of Firestones. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Rear end is quiet - no whining. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drives great - jump in an drive anywhere. The aftermarket CD is a 6 disc changer mounted in the rear storage compartment and is accessed on FM 89.7, which is why it still has the original factory radio in the dashboard.
