You are looking at an early 1967 Datsun Roaster convertible sports car. Half way through the model year in '67 Datsun changed the model and the look somewhat. From what I have seen, the early models are more rare. This car starts and runs well, and is completely drivable. The body is straight except for a small dent at the edge of the right, rear wheel well. Most of the car is original. There is an aftermarket SnugTop hardtop, and a soft top that most likely needs replacing. I've owned this car for 37 years except for about 5 years where I sold it and then bought it back from the same person. It was my daily driver for many years off and on. I had fully intended in restoring this great classic, but have decided to move on to other things and offer it up to someone who has the time and inclination to do it. The engine runs strong, but a conversion to pointless ignition would be good, as well as a carburetor rebuild. All of the rubber gaskets need to be replaced including the door jam gasket. The interior is fair but as you can see from the pictures dashboard and seats need replacing. The milage is approximate because the speedometer doesn't work. Also, the tachometer needs rebuilding or replacing as well and the clock isn't working at this time, although, I have had it working in the past. The tires are older but still pretty good. The brakes work but will need some overhauling. There is no windshield washer tank and the original fuel filter is missing. I have all of the emblems although 2 of them are broken, and the front hood letters are missing the N. The bumpers will need to be re-chromed. This is a good project car for someone who wants to start with something that is basically all there, and has good bones. Clean title registered to Feb. 2014. See larger pictures below. On Mar-12-13 at 19:31:15 PDT, seller added the following information: This info added 3-12...one of the front fenders is from a newer model roadster, so it has a little wider flare, also, the paint looks good, but there are some cracks in a few places in it. For this car to be restored properly, I would recommend a body-off restoration. I'm selling this in as-is condition with no warranty.
