Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for looking! Here is my story on this great looking 1975 Trans Am. I bought this car in California about a year ago. My wife, son and I flew to L.A., spent some time there, picked up the car and drove it home in the middle of summer. I was told that the car had a rebuilt motor and trans with less than 4000 miles on them, . Driving it without knowing the car, I found out that it was incredible. I drove 1700 miles home and did not burn a drop of oil. THIS IS NOT A MATCHING NUMBER MOTOR. I drove it at around 70 all day long through the desert of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The temp stayed cool and perfect the whole trip. I bought this car because I was looking for a car that had no rust or bondo and with as straight of a body as possible - and this was it. The interior was as perfect as the guy described it. The carpet has been replaced, dash has a few cracks on top but they do not look bad. It already had a protective carpet lining sitting on it. Gauges work perfect except for the temp - it appears to have lost the needle. A temp gauge has been added. I took the car and stripped the paint all the way to the original primer and metal. The car was primed, prepped and painted with PPG base coat clear coat paint, 6 coats of clear and at the end color sanded and buffed almost to perfection. The car was done by a professional and on a scale of 1-10 it is a very high 8 and that would be getting very picky. This is a full fledge Trans Am. I have had this formula hood for awhile. It has a couple of broken fins on top by the wipers. I fiber glassed them and one of them still has a crack, but not bad - it's not easily noticed. I also installed a full funtional ram air, air cleaner with the hood boots, I thought it would look great with this hood. I have the original hood, shaker, air intake ducks and clamps, I will add them for an additional fee. The hood and shaker are not painted but in great shape. This is not a matching numbers car - it has a tag of the new supposedly crate motor on the door. The tachometer is not working - the car has an MSD distributor with coil pack and I can't see where you are supposed to connect the tack. This is an A/C car - I have already upgraded it by putting a new 134 tube condenser with a small sandon compressor with accumulator and all new lines. The A/C has low air volume but as cold as it is, it feels very comfortable for S. Texas 100+ weather. All lights, brakes, parking, work except for dome light. I will put a new bulb. I think that is all it needs. The front head light bezels have very little pot metal pits. The tires are 265 50 15s and is a tire that has been discontinued at least 5 years ago. The tires look brand new - no cracks or flat spots. The stocky 50's with the aftermarket Pontiac 15 x 8's chrome rally wheels makes the car look great. These wheels have very little surface rust - hardly noticeable - they look perfect clean. The whole undercarriage is and looks perfect - all the body panels are original including the trunk. I have perfect feedback and I would like to keep it that way. I have described this car to the best of my ability and am selling it AS IS where is. This is a serious auction and all sales are final so don't bid unless you intend to buy. My Phone # is 956-682-6232. You can call and ask as many questions as you would like and I will attempt to answer them to the best of my ability. So look, ask, or email. This is a great car with very little to finish. Happy bidding and good luck! All sales are final. Transport will be buyer responsibility. This car is forsale locally and can end this auction at any time. I put this car in one of the biggest local car shows and it took 1st place. Back plate does not go with car! Removed and Relisted due to incorrect wording on motor not matching. Sorry for the missleading and mistake.THIS A GREAT CAR THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE EVEN GREATER ONCE YOU ADD YOUR OWN PERSONAL TASTE. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOODLUCK! .
