Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1968 Triumph TR250, which was professionally restored in 2007. The car has been driven sparingly since then, but when driven it performed beautifully. I have taken it to 2 Summer Partys at TRF since the restoration and actually picked it up there when the car was completed, which makes a third Summer Party. Those trips required that I drive 700 miles to and from Kentucky to Indiana, Pa. My wife and I also took the car on an extended trip in 2011 of 1800 miles. The only flaw on the trip was a malfunctioning cigarette lighter, which I used as a phone charger. It was easily repaired. This car was restored by Randy Phillipi, who lives near TRF. He is the best TR restoration guy I know and has easy access to NOS parts and advice. He is currently restoring the TRF LeMans car, which certainly would not be trusted to just anyone! No expense was spared in the restoration. The car was totally disassembled and every nut and bolt was disassembled, cleaned and-or replaced. The engine and tranny were both rebuilt, as was the rear end. Every component was either rebuilt or replaced, as needed. This car has several upgrades, including- -footwell lighting, marine sound system with speakers to play your ipod (hidden), 2 phone charging stations (one under the dash and one in the armrest), Amco reproduction armrest with Smith's clock, custom made top with Stayfast material and original sewn striping (one off by Robbins), custom made tonneau and boot cover by Larry Learn, custom made floor mats in black with tan trim by The Magic Carpet Company, TRF Magic Clutch, emergency release cable, brand new Ratco frame ($4000) chrome 72 spoke wheels, Michilin red line tires, petronix ignition, spin on oil filter, overdrive tranny, and much, much more. I have probably put 7500 miles on the car since restoration and while it is not the same car I picked up in 2007, it is still very much a show car quality vehicle. It has been maintained in my home garage under a protective cover. My personal circumstances require that I sell this car, which I regret. If you have any questions, please call- Steve- 270-779-9871.
