Vehicle Detail

As can be seen in the pictures this bike is a near complete restoration. I purchased the bike in 2010 and have been working on it over the last two years. Bike starts, idles, and runs well. Shifts through all 3 gears. Brakes and suspension adjusted and working properly. The bike was stripped down and rebuilt as follows: Frame: · Completely stripped to bare metal, bead blasted, fixed any blemishes or imperfections. Primed, Painted. · Applied oem/correct decals for this year-small blemish (see pic). · Paint was color matched to factory color. · 2 stage paint used with clear coat · New bearings installed in head tube · New chrome trim installed along top edge of frame · Gas tank in decent condition · New gas tank securing bracket with new rubber · New Battery bracket/tray Engine: · When I purchased the bike the top end of this engine was off the bike. Cylinder was bead blasted, honed, and painted. Head was disassembled. Replaced exhaust valve, clearances checked. Re-ringed piston (end gaps filed to specs). Repaired hairline crack at bolt hole (see pic where crack prepared and filled with JB Weld). Cam chain tension per spec. Idles smoothly without issue. · New Carburetor · New Airbox and element · New Fuel Lines · Rebuilt stator with new components (new points gapped per spec) · New removable stator cover (with Honda emblem) · New hardware on engine top end (copper washers, acorn nuts, etc) Wheels/Tires: · Wheels completely disassembled, bead blasted, primed, and painted. Reassembled. Tubes in good condition. · Tires in good condition · Rear brake shoes replaced. Fronts in good condition Controls: · New hand controls · New Grips · New Handlebars · New key and ignition switch · Kill switch functional · Wiring for signals provisioned, but never run Suspension: · New rear shocks · Front disassembled and rebuilt with new parts · New fork boots · Headlight ears bead blasted, primed painted · Repainted fork lowers Misc: · New chain guard · Original fenders in good condition with minor blemishes (see pic) · Seat in good condition, but shows slight blemish (see pic) · Original exhaust and heat shield in good condition, but shows aging (see pic) · New headlight bezel (bucket had to be modified slightly to secure (see pic) · Licenese plate frame (if planning to register) · Bill of Sale provided (not in California DMV system—easy registration if desired) · Seat pan painted gloss black · New battery · Tail light in good condition · New shift lever · New kick start lever · Brake pedal assembly bead blasted, primed, painted. · New brake return spring · Kick stand assembly bead blasted, primed, and painted · Front and Rear brake switches functional · This model year has the more modern fork for CT 70s · This has the desirable separate metal speedometer and headlight (not plastic) · Many aluminum parts polished (see pics) · Some cosmetic accessories eliminated to achieve clean look—easily sourced. You Tube: (search for CT 70 running) it'll be the video by Ray Richmond (probably 3rd one shown) Additional pictures are on the rayandalicia.blogspot website
