This is a very tight and solid truck that has always been very well cared for and is in extremely good condition. The engine is very strong and doesnt smoke, doesnt leak, doesnt have any blow-by and doesnt burn any oil. The transmission shifts perfect. No rattles, vibrations, or any other strange noises. Everything works perfect. As you can tell from all the pictures, this is a very very nice truck. This is not your typical Dodge diesel and Ill give a little background to tell you why (sorry for the novel that follows but it says a lot about the truck). My Dad and I have been driving Dodge pickups with the Cummins diesel for the past several years. Diesel vehicles in general have been my hobby for a long time and it took me a while to finally get Dad interested, but once I did, he was hooked. He drove a 96 Ram 3500 with the Cummins for a few years and then decided he could part with it for a 3rd generation (03-09) Dodge Cummins. He really wanted my 03, but I wouldnt sell it at the time, so we searched all over trying to find him the right 3rd Gen Dodge (our searching led us as much as 500 miles away, but all we found were dinged up farm trucks with high-horsepower tuners on them). After all that, we finally found THIS truck about 10 minutes from my parents house, for sale by the original owner. I went with him to check it out and he bought it on the spot because it was the cleanest one wed ever seen. I have the original title showing the previous owner bought it from Bonham Dodge with 10 miles on it in May of 2006, and he was the only owner/driver ever since until we got it. The owner was a sales representative for a local construction company and he drove Cummins diesels because thats all they used in their company. However, this truck hasnt ever seen one day of work. It hasnt even had a gooseneck or fifth wheel hitch installed! The inside of the bed still looks almost new! The truck was only used to carry the owner on the Texas highways to meet with clients - thats it! Dad has put about 8k miles on this truck since he got it several months ago, and during that time he was able to convince me to trade my 03 for his 06 because he wanted my short bed (and I had done a ton of aftermarket work to my 03). So, here we are. I think this is one of the nicest 3rd Gen Dodge diesels youll find, and it has been serviced well. Dad always has the oil and fuel filter changed every 4k miles, and the diesel shop we use checks everything over at that time to see if they can find anything else that needs attention. So, the front and rear brakes were also done recently. It drives, handles, stops, and pulls excellent. No issues. Front end is tight. Truck is ready to drive anywhere. This truck has only lived in Texas since new, so its never been exposed to salted roads. Therefore, there isnt any rust or corrosion anywhere on the truck, top or bottom. The previous owner took excellent care of the truck and it was not ever used as a work truck. There arent any high performance modifications - even the air intake system and exhaust system factory. The interior is in excellent condition. Everything looks great and all the upholstery is in excellent condition with no stains or tears anywhere. All the power options work perfect. No cracks in the dash. The A/C is cold and the Heat is hot. No strange smells and no evidence at all of it ever being smoked in, just very clean and well kept. The exterior is just as nice. All body panels and paint appear to be original and there is no evidence of any previous paint work or fender benders. The Carfax Report is perfectly clean. No rust anywhere. Truck looks great. A few tiny paint nicks, light scratches, and tiny door dings - but youll have to look hard to find any of them. This truck looks great. This Dodge is ready to be driven anywhere you want to take it.
