Vehicle Detail
2005 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Intercepter For Sale By Owner in the Mountain's Edge area (near Durango and Blue Diamond). $500 Starting Bid with NO RESERVE!This is a former Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department squad car. I purchased this car for my personal use at the county auction in 2010 and it has been driven daily by me, and is currently registered. Just a few weeks ago the check engine light came on with the code P0316 which refers to a bad crankshaft position sensor, and I can definitely feel a difference when I drive it now. Changing the sensor is more difficult than I am able to do myself, so I was saving up to have it done at a shop. But just last week I started a new job and required absolutely reliable transporation immediately, so I had to buy another car. This Crown Victoria has served me well, but must be fixed before I would trust it on the freeway. It otherwise starts up, runs and operates well. The car was tuned last year which included changing spark plugs. The car has some cool gadgets like a night vision preserving dome lamp and two working spotlights (one driver side, one passenger side), and an awesome looking front push bar. Also the front seats have stab plates in case you have some unruly passengers! There is a full size spare tire in the trunk. Issues: The check engine light comes on with codes P0301 and P0316 which both point to a problem with the crankshaft position sensor. The engine drips a little bit of oil. There is a scuff at the front left bumper. There are various holes and loose wires in the body where police equipment was removed. There is only one seat belt in the back seat that works with a child car seat. The horn does not work. Text me at 702-339-1180 with any questions or if you would like to see the car in person. If you call, please make it between 10am and 7pm PST.
