Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a true survivor. This is a great original condition two owner car that has always been in the same family. A father to son situation. The paint is not original, but is the original color and as you can tell by the pictures, it was done very well. This was not a cheap respray. There is no bondo on this car. The car is very drivable and would make an excellent weekend or daily driver as is. If you chose to make it a show car it would be an easy restoration. The only known defects are as follows... The dash clock is not currently functional There are a few dings along the passenger side of the body (I did the best I could to show those in the pics) This is a factory AC car, but the system could use charging. It's not blowing as cold as it should (but since it's February, it wasn't a priority at the moment) I would consider this excellent considering it is a 42 year old vehicle! This car started out as a CO car, but spent most of it's life as a Florida car. The pictures pretty much tell the story. My loss of storage space is your gain! Someone is going to get an amazing deal on this car!!! The car is also available locally through several other sources of media and I reserve the right to end the auction at any point. If you are serious about it, I would highly suggest the buy it now, this car will get a lot of activity and if I get a good local offer it's gone, since I could use the space! Terms: A non refundable deposit will be due within 24 hours of the end of the auction through Paypal, unless you are local and paying in cash. The remainder of the payment will need to be made either by cash in person if you are local or coming in to pick it up, or by check drawn on a bank where there is a reasonably local branch where I can cash the check and have cash in hand before it leaves my property or goes on a truck. I have also used Escrow.com in the past and would be willing to consider that option and split the escrow fee (which is minimal) Please serious inquiries only. Please only bid if you have your funds available. I am not willing to hold the car. If you need a ride from the airport to pick it up, I can probably help with that. If you need to ship the car, I can refer you to some carriers that I've used successfully in the past. Shipping would of course be at your expense, but I am willing to do everything possible to facillitate the delivery. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. If you want to make an offer, I'm always willing to listen to reasonable offers. The worst I can say is no, so don't be shy. Title is in hand. Check my feedback, it's all good. Thanks for looking. Good luck and happy bidding!!!On Feb-27-13 at 03:41:02 PST, seller added the following information: Update: I am selling this car for a friend who doesn't use Ebay, so there may be a slight delay in getting answers to the ton of questions that I'm getting, but I wanted to make two corrections to my description above. I don't believe either of these will be material to the situation, but I want to make sure you are getting information that is as accurate as possible. 1. The car is actually a 3 owner car. It was purchased new by his Grandfather, then it went to his Dad and he had had it for 6-7 years now. So again a 3 owner car, not 2, but it has been in the same family since new 2. I was correct that it was originally a CO car, and it's true that it spent much of it's life in Florida, where it currently is, but I didn't mention that it also spent significant time in California Also. I wanted to answer some often asked questions.... 1. The car does not smoke 2. The condition of the chrome bumpers etc... are very good for a 42 year old original car. I think you can get that idea from the pics, but there is some pitting on the chrome for the wheel wells 3. The glass and vinyl top are in great shape 4. There are no fluid leaks that are leaving any fluids on the garage floor. You'll see from the newly posted pics under the car that there probably is a small seal leak or something in the rear end, but it's not dripping or anything I hope that helps. I will continue to answer questions as they come in, but I'm not posting them all here, because I'm getting 8-10 per day and I just thought it would be easier for everyone if I just summarize On Feb-27-13 at 03:55:07 PST, seller added the following information: I have also been asked for pictures underneath the car which I have and am trying to upload, but I keep getting the error message This feature is temporarily unavailable I will post them as soon as the system lets me in, but if it helps in the interim, what you're going to see is an undercarriage that looks like you would expect a 42 year old original car undercarriage to look. I mentioned a possible small seal leak on the rear end, but other than that you won't see other fluids or any rot. There will be surface rust in places and the exhaust is fine. I was just asked about rot as well. There is no visible rot and the floors and trunk are solid. On Mar-01-13 at 17:27:38 PST, seller added the following information: It's been days and I still can't get the undercarriage pictures loaded through Ebay, so if you are interested in seeing them, just shoot me an email and I'll send them to you directly. Thanks again for looking!!
