Vehicle Detail
I bought this cycle from the original owner's wife (husband had passed away) in 2008. Rode it home from Waldport Oregon and immediately had South Sound BMW Dealership execute a 36K check on the bike. No problems. Since owning the bike, I've had all rooutine service and maintenance performed by South Sound BMW. All records are available. This Beemer is all stock except for a Rich's custom seat and passenger backrest and Givi top trunk Like all BMW's it runs like a Swiss Watch on steroids. I'm selling her because I'm closer to 80 than 70 and besides that, it's cloudy and rainy today. Tomorrow it may be sunny and I could change my mind. The 1150 RT comes standard with fog lamps, dual outlets for heated clothing, ABS, throttle friction lock, adjustable windshield, heated handgrips, hard saddle bags, an owners manual and U.S. and Canadian dealership guide. Tires (Metzler Marathon) and brakes are about 80%. Battery is about 6 months old. She's been kept in a heated garage when not on the road. A couple scratches on a turn signal fairing and a scuff mark on a saddle bag are visible upon close inspection. I dropped it once at a dead, er, complete stop in a Harley Davidson parking lot. Some would say it serves me right for even being there, but Hey: they serve free coffee. Besides, other Beemer riders go there too. And Norton and Triumph and BSA riders too. Good luck with your bidding and feel free to contact mewith any questions by email or my cell# is 360-649-8309 One more thing: I do not use the steering lock. Sometimes it has a tendency to be difficult to unlock. With enough jiggling of the key, it always releases, but I just don't mess with it anymore.
