Vehicle Detail

MARCH 1ST UPDATE: 37 HOURS TO GO IN THE AUCTION. THERE ARE 200 WATCHERS AT THIS TIME. IF NO ONE BIDS, DON'T THINK YOU WILL BUY IT FOR LESS AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS. I'M SERIOUS: IT WON'T BE AVAILABLE AGAIN AT THIS PRICE. IT WILL GET MOVED 500 MILES ON MARCH 15. I'LL CONSIDER OFFERS AFTER THAT BUT THE STARTING PRICE WILL BE $5,000. TOO MUCH YOU SAY? I DON'T CARE: I DON'T HAVE TO SELL IT. I'LL RESTORE IT IN A COUPLE YEARS WHEN I KNOW I WILL HAVE THE TIME. WANT IT? BID NOW. 1958 or 9 Phase 1 Peerless. This is a barn (actually in a field, more about that) find which I acquired many years ago. The serial number indicates it was made about halfway through the Phase 1 production run of about 250 cars. This was a Triumph powered car, not aluminum V8. One of about 70 imported into states. NO RESERVE: YOU BID, YOU BUY. $300 PAYPAL, BALANCE IN CASH ON PICKUP. No shipping unless you arrange it. It has LOTS of issues: · Substantial frame rot (but easily repairable as it’s all 1”x2” rectangular steel tube) due to sitting in a field for over 20 years · Missing engine · No grill · Front damage with improper repair started (rounded instead of the rectangular bump out) · No bumpers · No driveshaft · Missing bottom half of tail lights · Missing left gas tank, filler hose & flip top cap No title. Have ID plate. Good stuff: · Fiberglass body is pretty good considering age. Spare tire cover included, not shown. · Transmission tunnel (removable) is in good condition. · Has seats front & rear · Glass is intact, no cracks! · Have quarter window frames (lexan riveted in place) · Gages all there · Have headlight assemblies · Have carbs, intake manifold & exhaust · Spare wire wheel included · Includes good transmission from 1961 TR3A (long story there) · Missing hinges and other parts which are mostly from British Leyland (TR2/3) and available in reproductio This car is rough but compared to a couple sold on EBAY last year, it’s far more complete and would be an easier restoration. Buy a rundown running TR3 and it’s an easy project [although not for the inexperienced or faint of heart]. Last chance to buy it [really]. If it doesn't sell, I'm moving it 500 miles to storage I have for future restoration I (have the skills & shop). NOTE: This vehicle is sold ‘as is, where is’. No warranties are expressed or implied. “as is, where is” takes precedent over any written description, question responses or photos or anything else.
