Up for sale is my 1978 Chevrolet Bonanza truck. It is with great regret that I am listing this vehicle for sale. Other projects are calling. I will be highlighting this truck through three paragraphs.They are the Exterior,Interior and lastly the Drivetrain. Please call me or message me if you have any questions. Exterior: You have to love Southern trucks. This truck was bought new Chattanooga,Tn. It has since always been in this area. The truck is very solid. The cab corners and floor pans are very solid. The truck even retains its original hood and grease pencil marks underhood. About a year ago a driver quality paint job was added. The painter matched the factory brown and tan combo very close. He however did not paint inside the bed or fix any dings. The bed shows some wear and patina but no holes or rot. There is some dings here and there. Most wouldnt show up in the pics. The only signs of any rust are at the bottom of the doors. I will picture this. It is superficial and could be easily repaired. The body on this truck is above average and I believe the paint to be driver quality. Interior: When I obtained the truck,the interior was mostly all original. I recovered the bench seat with a close factory interior color. I also replaced the door panels with new ones from Lmc. The color doesnt match 100%. I feel that they could be dyed to match closer. The original dash pad has good color still and only a couple small cracks. The carpet still has good color and is in good shape. I keep two sets of floormats down to keep it clean. The am/fm radio still works and plays 8 tracks decently. The truck has Digital Gauges installed in the factory location. The volts,coolant temp,rpm,speedo,odometer all work. It has a Gauge provision for the fuel level and oil pressure. The fuel level doesnt work due to a faulty sending unit. The oil pressure gauge was relocated under the dash in favor of a Electric Equus gauge. It works flawlessly.This truck came with air condition but currently doesnt work,the compressor was left off during the swap. The heat however works great! The interior is very presentable and is comfortable. Drivetrain: About 3 years ago the previous owner swapped out the original 350 V8. In favor for a 5.3L V8/ 4L60E combo out of 2002 Silverado with low miles. The swap was done right. The computer is mounted under the seat in the dry. The obd 2 port is under the dash and works. The 5.3 always cranks easily with good oil pressure and no strange noises. It makes good power and sounds great due to true dual exhaust with 2 chamber Flowmasters. Only other mod from factory is a nice cold air intake. The 4L60E transmission shifts smooth as it should. I recently done a front brake job. We turned the rotors and added new pads. The brakes stop ok but seem somewhat spongy still. Could just be a old truck? In closing: This a great turn key 5.3 swap truck to be bought for a afforable price. I am going to start this auction for $3500, no reserve. Included in this sale is the original paper drive out tag,bill of sale,owners manual,warranty book and four 8 tracks. I have a clean Ga title in hand,in my name. I will issue a bill of sale and will sign title over to future buyer to sign. I will however not leave this title open.
