Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a very rare 1962 Plymouth Fury 4 door Hardtop. This vehicle is a survivor, with a good running 318 engine and automatic transmission. Can be driven and restored over time, would need total restoration to be show quality. Everything on the vehicle is original, original paint, original interior, engine and transmission. The body has no apparent rust issues, the normal areas that rust thru, the cowl, rear window, rear quarters are solid; however car does have some minor dents and dings, minimal body work needed. All trim and stainless on the car, most in good condition, some dings and dents in stainless. There is some pitting in the chrome. The hood and trunk are primered. The front clip is very nice, all glass is good, all doors and trunk lock and all windows roll up and down. Window rubber/weather stripping needs to be replaced, in fair to poor condition. Interior upholstery is original, driver seat worn, door panels also original; original Chrysler seat belts, fabric faded. Vehicle has new carpet. Starts and runs good. Would need tires to be road worthy (they have a lot of tread but are very old). Glove compartment has original dealer ID sticker, original owners manual (poor condition). Power steering works good no leaks, transmission shifts, brakes seem solid, radiator was rebuilt. All lights and turn signals work, gauges work, radio worked when purchased but has since quit. On Feb-16-13 at 19:47:19 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot some things, the heater works good. Engine has a tune up, oil change/filter and new heater hoses/antifreeze and Diehard battery, the eyebrow fabric above the dash instrument panel is in poor condition. We have not driven the car on the highway only on local streets/ neighborhood do to the age of the tires, brake hoses etc. We are the second owners and purchased it from the original family and were going to tear down and make a project (cut, big engine etc) and decided that maybe it would be better if someone would restore this unusual vehicle. On Feb-16-13 at 19:58:03 PST, seller added the following information: California car purchased in Palo Alto, license/registration thru January 2014.
