up here is a beautiful 1965 mustang convertible, V8 car, clad in numbers matching, gorgeous burgandy color black top, and black interior. the exterior; Tires and Paint : white wall period correct nylon tires, with original hubcaps and mustang spinners center caps that came on the car in 1965.code X paint - burgundy, this is the number code matching color from the data plate. the paint has an awesome mirror shine, the car was repainted a few years ago and some minor chips have been touched up, the is also a small ding in the rear drivers side quarter panel, however the pictures don't lie, and as you can see, this paint really looks great. The Chrome: pieces are not brand new, but they too are in great shape for a very nice daily driver car. no pitting or rust. The Chassis: The car had major rust areas in floor cut out, and new metal welded in. It was then properly sealed with rust treatment paint, followed by seam sealer over the weld seams (mimicking factory procedure), and finally coated in rubberized undercoating, no problems in the rest of the regular problem spots of these early model mustangs, this chassis is solid. The Engine: this is an original early model 289 2V in this 65 vert, noted with the stand out black engine and gold air cleaner along with match gold valve covers. engine, and engine bay were repainted and fresh new decals placed as well. factory engine I.D. tag is present, original 2 barrel carb with its factory id tag as well present. even the steering box has its tag. factory manifold heat riser air cleaner choke tube present.new dual exhaust sounds awesome! transmission : automatic cruise-o-matic c4 transmission, shifts peppy and drives smooth. the interior; black on black standard interior, side sweep early model style speedometer, dash lights functional, signals and lights functional. new front seat upholstery. back seat in great condition aside a small tear along piping. seat belt optioned car.power convertible top (works amazing!)convertible top boot (cover for when top is down)am ford radio (original) speakers works great and functional trunk, new truck mat, spare tire with mount complete. this is an awesome car, that runs great, drives great, and looks GREAT!
