You are viewing a 1991 Mercedes-Benz 350SD sedan, Teal Blue over Slate Gray with Beige leather upholstery. This is one of a rare segment representing the last of the w126 "wind tunnel era" Special Class designs, its type being the fewest to come into the US. Acquired in 2004, I am the car's second owner and, for nearly a decade, this car has been my daily driver on a 75-mile interstate commute. Having recently retired, I am thinning my herd and wish to share this most pleasurable and reliable car with someone anew. The 3.5 liter turbocharged OM603.970 diesel engine starts promptly and is quiet, smooth and strong. The exhaust is exceptionally clean, and the oil level remains in-range between changes. It has always been fueled with petro diesel although, having an inline mechanical pump and a passive fuel heater/thermostat, it may be extra appealing to bio-fuelers. Ride and handling are firm and responsive; braking is straight and positive. Michelin X radials have about 70% tread depth remaining. The vehicle systems, including Cruise, Climate Control, Central Locking, Memory Seats, and the original MB-Sound audio are in good working order. The air conditioning portion of the climate control system has been overhauled to accommodate R134a refrigerant and included renewal of compressor, dryer and expansion block. No rust; the car bears labels of Dinol treatment by its first owner. Appearance is striking and the paint finish is in excellent condition, smooth and shiny. I am so fond of this car that it is difficult to write negatively. All the glass and interior leather and wood, however, are original and there are signs of wear commensurate with the car's age and duty. I believe the worst is the few repairs in the windshield, thanks to gravel trucks popular in my region. From the photos, it can be seen that the amber front signal lenses were replaced by clear, to better blend with the blue color. The original amber lenses will be included with the vehicle. This car has been well maintained and I have kept a comprehensive history of service and component replacement. A CD containing owner's and maintenance manuals in electronic form will accompany the vehicle. The antitheft code for the radio is also known and will be provided.
