This is a project started by my cousin and uncle. I bought the project and had it finished. Over $8000 of parts and labor have been put into this car. The engine has been rebuilt and the windshield, windows, hood, doors, floor pans, suspension, tires, wheels, wiring, interior and much more are new. The car was professionally finished and completely rewired with a new harness by a shop that specializes in air-cooled VWs last year. I have receipts for all the parts and labor. It's inspected, registered and fun to drive. The paint was damaged when I moved the car to Texas. I had a $600 estimate to fix it, but I haven't gotten it done yet. I love the car, but I need to sell it. I don't have a good place to keep it and I'd rather sell it than pay for storage. The car is reliable and running great. I just had the carb tuned. I've put about 1,000 mile on it since it was completed last year. It's ready for a road trip home if you're not in Texas. On Feb-11-13 at 11:15:45 PST, seller added the following information: Update: just had a pre-buy inspection for a local potential buyer. Everything checked good except the right front wheel bearing. The car is drivable, but the mechanic suggested the bearing may need to be replaced. Quoted $150 for parts and labor. Also I forgot to mention that the door lock cylinders still need to be re-keyed. Bid accordingly, the car is being sold as is.
