Vehicle Detail

here is a 1964 ford custom 2 door sedan, born as a plain jane stripper with a 289 automatic, sold in moses lake washington {high dry desert country}purchased in pasco washington[also high desert dry country]this car spent its whole life in dry climate.not one patch panel or rust repair was needed.289 and c-4 were removed and a rebuilt balanced 66 gt 390 with a cruisamatic were installed.the 390 was prepared and dressed to look like a 427 center oiler,it has original 406 cast headers, original 427 dual point distributor, period correct mt 427 rocker covers, period correct edlebrock f 427 dual plane intake ,750 cfm center float dual feed holley 4 barrel,427 fuel pump, reproduction 427 galaxie style oval air cleaner with original 427 emblem, new 427 mounts, recored radiator, new 2 1/2 inch duals with flowmaster 10 series mufflers,3.70 9 inch trac loc posi. now while the body was rust free, the interior upoulstery didnt fare as well in the desert heat, the carpet and headliner are new,the other panels are all original survivor quality and present well, the seats are from a 1968 thunderbird and are a great match with the original ivy interior, drivers side is 6 way power and wired correctly with relay, passenger is manual ,rear is a semi wrap around.console is from same t-bird,on forward storage door there is another original 427 fender emblem mounted over the t-bird insignia.inside the storage box under the console armrest is an alpine am/fm/cd player hooked to an amp and two 12 inch sub woofers in the trunk, there are high grade speakers also in rear package tray and in the oem dash location also, all of the sound equipment was installed without cutting the car.all of the steel like dash etc. are in original paint, being a custom ,this car had no padded dash from new. front and rear bumpers are flawless show grade rechromes that cost $2000 alone, the sparse amount of other trim that this car came with is all original oem nice survivor parts [not flawless but good stuff] with 58k actual miles on the roller when we started we didnt need to rebuild the fron suspension, however we upgraded to front disc brakes and rebuilt all the rear brakes, installed front gas shocks and rear air shocks, flipped the rear shackels and installed 15x10 real period correct centerline rims with new 295-50-15 radials,on the front we are running 165 sr 15 skinnys on 5 inch wide matching centerlines. now for the body and paint,The car is super straight and was painted the original color in dupont materials,no sheetmetal work was needed, also no collision repairs ,just some minor clean up,a few little door dings and filler prime with a block sand, hood and trunk jams were done, door jams are original, this is the first repaint on a true survivor. this is a go to the saturday nite cruise in ready to drive car.everything works including the horn.and all guages , please ask questions by calling mike at 425-293-6083 between 7 am and 7 pm pst.
