Up for auction is a 2000 Jetta TDI!!!! This car is in overall good condition with high highway miles and absolutely everything works on this car...........EXCEPT REVERSE!!! The transmission works just fine in all forward gears and is a daily driver getting almost 50 mpg's!!!!!!!! Reverse went out about 6 months ago and has continued to be a daily driver, you just have to be careful where you park so that you can pull out in drive! It still rolls backwards in neutral if you get stuck somewhere.The TDI engine has been very well maintained and is running perfect!!! Starts at the flip of the key and purrs like a kitten. Other than that, everything works, EVERYTHING!! Ice cold AC, hot heat, all windows work, sunroof works, radio, cd player, power locks, power trunk, all lights interior and exterior work too. Car has a recent timing belt, brand new battery, new rotor and pads at all four corners, Cooper tires at all four corners with about 60% tread left. This car is a great candidate for an auto to manual swap at some point but for now it is driving just fine(check the tdi forums, this is very easy to do and much more reliable than the 01M auto transmission and gets better gas mileage). This car is a great deal for someone willing to drive it with no reverse or who wants to put a new auto transmission in or convert it to stick shift(you can put a volkswagen 5 or 6 speed gearbox in this). I would give the exterior about a 6 out of 10, there are some paint chips on the hood and it could use a good buff and wax---but it has always been a southern car and is solid with absolutely no rust!!! I would give the interior about a 6 out of 10 as well, the drivers seat bottom is ripped as you can see(comes with seat bottom cover) and it could use a deep clean, but otherwise in really good overall shape.
