Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1996 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor This car was originally with the Miami Township Police Department and used as an unmarked vehicle. I am the second owner and have been using it as a secondary vehicle since I got it a year ago. I've put about 2500 miles on it and have only had to change the oil and replace the rear brake pads. It's been a great car but I no longer need an extra vehicle. Exterior is silver and looks nice overall but still has scratches, dents, and paint blemishes from it's previous life. Two antenna holes, one on the roof and one on the trunk. The antenna bases have been covered with little screw-on caps. Underside is very good for the age. The underside looks like it was Ziebarted by the police department and that appears to have really helped protect it. There is a rock chip in the windshield, but it's obscured from the driver's point of view because it is behind the rearview mirror. Interior looks good with nice upholstery and steering wheel, gently-worn because it never endured the rigors of patrol work. Rear seat looks like it was hardly used. The trunk is really clean, too. Spotlight works. The front suspension makes a creaking noise on cold days when going over bumps, but the noise goes away once the engine warms up and heats the suspension. On warm days it's never been an issue at all. No other known mechanical issues. Power doors and windows work. A/C is cold and heat is hot. The police department said they had it on monthly maintenance and I believe it. It's lived a pretty easy life compared to most police-packaged Crown Vics.
