Up for auction is this 1972 Chevrolet Super Cheyenne Short Box Fleet Side Pickup. It belongs to a good friend of mine who asked if I would list it for him as he does not have a computer. The truck has a 400 Cubic inch V-8 (not sure if it is original to the truck or not), 350 Turbo Automatic Trans, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning (needs charging), Tilt Steering Wheel, After Market Radio, Factory Tach Dash with Gauges, Deluxe Interior, Factory Tinted Glass, Two Tone Paint, Sliding Rear Window, Rear Cargo Light, Front Bumper Guards, Rally Wheels and 12 Bolt Single Track Rear. The truck is a rock solid southern truck and straight down both sides. Frame is nice and clean not like you see in the northern states. Nice original floors, braces, cab mounts, etc. Paint is driver quality. All stainless and moldings are in decent shape. Front bumper is nice, rear bumper is fair. A new starter and battery was recently installed but it turns out the ring gear on the fly wheel has some flat spots. Sometimes it starts right away, other times it just zings. The owner purchased a new fly wheel that will be included in the sale. The truck goes up and down the road nice. Motor runs good but has some type of valve train noise. Not quite sure what it is. It just doesnt sound right. May possibly be the fly wheel not balanced. So figure on possible repairs. If your looking for a nice clean truck that needs minor attention then here it is.
